We are grateful for YOU!
As we approach the end of 2024, we at BrightSpark are taking a moment to reflect on a truly remarkable year. From new partnerships and expanding our team to significant wins in advocacy and state legislation, it’s been a year of growth, impact, and resilience. None of this would be possible without the unwavering support from our incredibly community, so we would like to spend a week saying…THANK YOU!
Welcome to Gratitude Week!
From Monday, November 25 to Tuesday, December 3, BrightSpark will be expressing our heartfelt thanks to our donors, staff, community partners, and advocates. It’s also a time for us to pause and celebrate all that we’ve achieved together—while recognizing the challenges we’ve overcome to get here.
This year, we’ve achieved significant victories that will shape the future of childhood care in our region:
- We secured a $1.75 million investment for mental health consultations allowing BrightSpark to expand our Holding Hope Team and enhance support for infant and early childhood mental health;
- We became the new administrator of the Best Starts for Kids (BSK) Child Care Subsidy Program distributing over $2 million a month to help King County families afford child care;
- Our Early Learning Coaching team provided 65,125 direct service hours to 2,120 child care providers offering coaching, training, technical assistance, and licensing support;
- And we completed an 18-month strategic plan and are now finalizing the next phase to build on our progress.
And as we look toward the close of 2024, we know there’s still much work ahead, but we’re more inspired than ever to continue our mission of nurturing and sustaining child-centered, antiracist early learning communities.
We’re so grateful to have you as part of the BrightSpark family. From all of us here at BrightSpark:
THANK YOU!
Together, we are creating a brighter future for children everywhere! family. Together, we are creating a brighter future for children everywhere!
Why Access and Quality Matter
One of the key pillars of our work is ensuring that every child has access to high-quality early learning opportunities. That’s why we’re excited to share a special video highlighting the current state of child care across King and Pierce Counties. We believe that both ACCESS and QUALITY are critical to a child’s future success, and this video will shed light on why that’s more important than ever.
Tuesday, December 3rd is Giving Tuesday! If you are able, please consider making a donation on this special day! Your donation will allow us to continue advancing our mission to nurture and sustain child-centered, antiracist early learning communities. Each year is more impactful than the last and with your gift we can #ThriveIn2025!
