Giving Tuesday is Over, But There’s Still Time to Support BrightSpark!
Dear First name,
Thank you for supporting BrightSpark Early Learning Services during our Gratitude Week! We are deeply grateful for your generosity and are excited to share some of the incredible strides we’ve made as 2024 comes to a close.
Highlights from 2024:
- Child Care Aware of WA Family Center: Assisted 3,981 families in finding child care that fits their needs;
- Learn Together Program: Launched in partnership with Puget Sound Educational Services and Kent Community Schools, supported older kids who care for younger siblings and family members;
- THRIVE Coaching Program: Expanded our coaching model for child care providers, offering more flexible, impactful support;
- Holding Hope Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Program: Expanded mental health consultation services to better support children, families, and child care providers;
- Pierce County Expansion: Brought services to more families and providers through increased investments, partnerships and support;
- Best Start for Kids Subsidy Program: Administered over $2 million a month in child care subsidies;
- Professional Development: Trained over 200 child care providers and hosted our first in-person conference in five years at our Spring Professional Development Institute!
And that’s just the beginning!
Looking ahead to 2025, we know we can achieve even more—and that’s where our incredible community of supporters comes in. Your contributions help us cover funding gaps, provide flexibility across our programs, and ensure our work continues. With your support, we can continue to reach over 25,000 children and over 2,100 early learning professionals across King and Pierce Counties.
How You Can Help
Every dollar donated by year’s end will directly support BrightSpark’s mission from expanding mental health access to increasing subsidy distribution and creating advocacy efforts that make a lasting impact.
Even though #GivingTuesday is over, your ongoing support will help us continue this vital work in 2025. We invite you to make a contribution today; because together, we’re creating an equitable future where every child can #ThiveIn2025!
With deep appreciation,
The BrightSpark Team
Coming Soon!
Every year, BrightSpark releases a Community Impact Report. In the report all of our partners and supporters can see the work we’ve put in during the latest fiscal year, and the impact that work has had on our community.
You can expect to find highlights from over a dozen distinct programs; reflections from team members and community members; information about our funding and how it is allocated and distributed across programs; statistics and data surrounding the impact we’ve had; and so much more!
Stay tuned for more updates showcasing the impact we’ve made over the past year.
“What a joy to be able to reflect on the past year, and what a year it was! At BrightSpark, our focus is on 0-12 year old children, and we know that their early start will predict their future pathways, and we hope these pathways are filled with equity, opportunity, and a lot of joy. Considering the last year, we can confidently say that BrightSpark engaged in a variety of successful efforts to ensure all our learners had access to high quality early learning! Over the last year, we have honed in and focused on work in two key areas: Access and High Quality.
This work is the starting point for thousands of children and families in King and Pierce Counties. We could not be prouder of our agency!“
Phoebe Sade, Executive Officer & Rebecca Benavides, 2023-24 Board of Directors Chair
