Reflecting on Anti Bias in the Early Years (Fall 2024)

We will begin our journey by viewing the film “Reflecting on Anti-Bias Education in Action: The early years,” produced locally, followed by facilitated conversations where we will reflecting on the video, our own experiences and how we can move this important work of anti-bias, and anti-racism forward. About the film: “Reflecting on Anti-Bias Education in Action: The early years,” is one of four films nominated for a Northwest Regional Emmy® in the new category of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion – long form content. This groundbreaking film is co-produced by early childhood education consultant Debbie LeeKeenan and Dr. John Nimmo, an associate professor at Portland State University’s College of Education. It is directed by award-winning Turkish-American filmmaker Filiz Efe McKinney, founder of Brave Sprout Productions.
