Why Do We Oppose SB 5752?
BrightSpark operates the Holding Hope Program (Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC)) for the entire state. This bill would make this program “subject it to funding availability” and destabilize progress on childhood mental health in Washington.
Families will experience further financial distress due to the proposed increase to Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) subsidy copays.
Child care employees will have reduced access to Working Connections Child Care (WCCC) eligibility.
