Giving Season is in Full Bloom
Since our founding in 1990, BrightSpark has focused on making early learning opportunities more accessible and higher in quality for children across King and Pierce counties. We help families find and afford care that fits their unique needs, while also offering child care providers the support they need to best care for the children they serve – and that’s just the beginning!
Just like a flower needs nourishing soil to bloom, we couldn’t continue our work without the contributions of our generous community of supporters. This Spring, every dollar donated will directly impact our ability to grow our programs and serve even more children, families, caregivers, and providers.
Protect Early Learning
This year, funding for early learning is facing serious threats as legislators finalize the state budget. Services like mental health support, family, friend, and neighbor care, and resource navigation — and the families who rely on them — are at risk. But we are not powerless! Help us reach our fundraising goals so that we can further advance our mission to nurture and sustain child-centered, antiracist early learning communities.
At BrightSpark, we believe that we are stronger together — and this is a moment to show what that truly means. Take Action. Donate Today.
Partner with BrightSpark
We are so grateful to work alongside some incredible businesses and organizations in our community. In line with our commitment to community-centric fundraising, partners are not required to give any specific amount – all donations are appreciated. All partners are given the same year-round recognition and promotion, regardless of giving level.

What is Community Centric Fundraising?
Community Centric Fundraising (CCF) is an approach to fundraising developed in the Seattle area by community leaders of color to reshape fundraising and the non-profit field into one based in community and rooted in social justice.
This means that organizations who follow this model are committed to prioritizing the needs of the community over their own initiatives, addressing racism and prejudice within traditional fundraising and outreach efforts, and valuing every contribution (whether it is a financial donation, in-kind donation, or time spent volunteering, etc) equitably. BrightSpark is fully committed to following CCF principles.
