Help us reach our goals!
Donate early to help us grow our Spark Fund! The Spark Fund is a pool of funds donated before the event that ignites enthusiasm amongst day-of attendees and serves as a foundation for our fundraising efforts. By donating early, you can ensure the event is successful and inspire others to support our work while contributing to our cause of creating a brighter future for ALL children.
Donations raised before and during our Annual Event will help us grow our pool of unrestricted funds – these funds are essential to our financial structure as they allow BrightSpark to use these dollars at our discretion. This flexibility ensures that we can cover the costs of programs and initiatives that are not otherwise funded through public or private grants, state or federal funds, and other entities with restrictions and requirements tied to their dollars. BrightSpark offers programs like our Family, Friend, and Neighbor (FFN) program, our advocacy and coalition-building efforts, mental health support initiatives, and so much more that are reliant on unrestricted funding to operate. Unrestricted gifts support longevity, effectiveness, and even staff retention within nonprofits. Please consider giving early to help us reach our fundraising goal!

What is Community Centric Fundraising?
Community Centric Fundraising (CCF) is an approach to fundraising developed in the Seattle area by community leaders of color to reshape fundraising and the non-profit field into one based in community and rooted in social justice. This means that organizations who follow this model are committed to prioritizing the needs of the community over their own initiatives, addressing racism and prejudice within traditional fundraising and outreach efforts, and valuing every contribution (whether it is a financial donation, in-kind donation, or time spent volunteering, etc) equitably. BrightSpark is fully committed to following CCF principles.
