There’s more to art than markers, crayons, paint, and paper. Join us for an in-depth exploration of how to develop art activities that children are interested in and excited to create. Learn how to display those art materials so that they are safe and accessible for daily use.
Learning Objectives
Participants will gain an understanding about art and how a child’s development is supported through the art domain. Contrasts are made with process and product art. A deep look how art can support all activity areas (fine motor, art, music and movement, blocks, dramatic play, math/number, nature/science, sand/water and promoting acceptance of diversity). Participants will show evidence of learning by participating in a small group activity about the process of art.
