Village Learning Childcare in the Renton highlands has a position opening soon for a new team member. Ready to make a difference in the lives of children? We are seeking a person who knows that kids are their calling! We are a unique childcare home located on acreage in the Renton highlands. We combine varied teaching methods for expansive learning opportunities- including an amazing nature-based aspect. Early childhood teacher to assist in play-based learning with scaffolding, traditional preschool workshops, Montessori activities, arts and crafts, and an expansive Nature-based program. Teachers help with learning centers, routine care of children, and care of our environment both indoors and out of doors. A sincere interest in ECE is expected! We are happy to help with state qualifications and more.

The minimal requirement for this job is to be a person who knows they want to be an early childhood educator. Further requirements to begin are state requirements easy to obtain- hands on infant, child, adult cpr and first aid/ food worker card/ tb test/ easy classes offered for free on the childcare provider site/ a current portable background check through merit, along with the merit registration. Desirable qualifications are the above as well as the initial certificate to be followed by the short certificate. A plus is experience and desire and/or knowledge about nature-learning.   • This is a Part Time Compensation is determined by ECE education and experience. If you have both experience and an initial certificate, the starting pay is $23.00 per hour.
  • Benefits:

Note* this position may start part-time Monday- Friday, 6 hours per day and have a full-time 40- hour work week offered by July 1st and needed by September. Benefits- I offer sick pay in accordance with L&I regulations. Three weeks of paid vacation are given per year for full-time staff members, aligning with our program calendar (winter break dates align with the Issaquah School District, and we are closed the last full week of summer prior to the start of the school year). If we close to due inclement weather, power outages, etc. you are paid. Holiday closures are paid. I offer a price match if you choose private medical insurance of up to $250.00 per month.
